Scientists are always coming up with great new suggestions for healthy folks. One of the best I've seen recently is that omega-3 oils should always be accompanied by vitamins E and C. This does not mean that there's a new craze of vitamin-enriched omega-3 oils, although this might be a good idea. It's only suggested that they are complementary if taken together on a daily basis. I'm sometimes surprised at how many people will take a nutrient or a vitamin, but not both.
Vitamin E is also associated with curing serious disorders, especially in children, as low-weight babies have been allowed to return to normal growth, as soon as they are exposed to sufficient vitamin E. Lack of vitamin E is associated with all kinds of problems. Skeletal weakness and muscle atrophy are only two associated conditions.

Two Good Reasons
The reason doctors want us to take these two vitamins with fish oil is twofold:
1) It's possible that an overdose of fish oil could weaken the immune system because it does decrease inflammation.
2) This decrease is not always a healthy response, although it is less painful. Vitamins C and E have both been shown to aid the immune system in fighting pathogens without excessive inflammation.
In order to have an immediate relief for arthritis it is a good idea to take a significant amount of fish oil, but to be very careful about overdose. There's no reason to risk excessive bleeding or any of the other potentially harmful effects of too much concentrated omega-3 oils. So vitamin E and vitamin C will help to bolster the immune system, since a painful inflammation response is being decreased. Daily intake of these vitamins will go a long way toward enhancing anyone's energy level and immune system.

I can always tell the difference between the friends who are actually taking a multivitamin and fish oil, and the people I know who are only drinking energy drinks. There's nothing wrong with a little bit of caffeine, but the line needs to be drawn somewhere. In order to help your body be the best it can be everyday it is important that you get the best nutrients are available. I'm talking about real, honest to goodness nutrients, and not the scant vitamins found in an "enhanced" energy beverage.
There's nothing like finding a product that you can believe in. I'd hate to think that there's one great source of omega-3 oils made from low toxicity fish, and you're the only one missing out. That used to make me feel terrible, but now it feels great to have the best.
